Leadership and Millennials

Simon Sinek returns with a fantastic video about leadership and millennials. I am not sure it is just Millennials I think that every business should consider the self esteem and needs of all their staff. But every business owner should watch this video and act upon it. The 6 principals of business will help better understand your people, their needs and  how to motivate them. I have always said Mediocrity comes from latin Medial “middle” and Ocris “mountain”.  Settling for mediocrity is unacceptible these days, you have to get your people to the summit !

Simon Sinek @TED

Simon has some fantastic lessons about leadership, establishing the why and the Golden Circle. We have used some of the principals within Simon’s video in our program. Our six functions of an organisation incorporates many the principals within all these video’s.  “People dont buy what you do they buy why you do it”.

RSA - workplace

This is a great video by RSA on work place culture: “How can we get people more engaged, more productive, and happier at work? Is technology part of the problem – and could it also be part of the solution? Dave Coplin, Chief Envisioning Officer at Microsoft, imagines what might be possible if more organisations embraced the full, empowering potential of technology and encouraged a truly open, collaborative and flexible working culture.”

Geoff Burch the business Guru

This is a long video during BAPC conference. Geoff is one of the best speakers I have ever heard for events around sales. The lessons within this video if you can spare the time, are brilliant – every sales person and business owner  should watch this.  If you don’t want to watch it all search youtube for Geoff and there are many more “snippits” of brilliant advice. If you want to do a sales conference BOOK GEOFF he is great !

Simon Sinek

Here is another great video by Simon Sinek, showing why organisations have difficulties maintaining the passion and  trust as they grow. Simon explains first you must establish the “WHY” and then  build the trust and empathy.

Steve Jobs

Here is Steve Jobs in 1997 when he came back to Apple explaining how the business needs to simplify and get its messaging and branding right. There are so many parallels to the print media industry that we can learn from this wonderful video. Leadership, vision and culture are all demonstrated in this video. It is a must watch.
